The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore is considering MBBS and BDS exams for students who fail the exam.
Students from MBBS and BDS staged a demonstration outside UHS earlier today. They asked UHS to reorganize the exam on the grounds that insufficient preparation due to the coronavirus pandemic was the reason for their failure. This development was carried out before then.
After UHS management assured them that their request would be considered at the next board meeting, the students cancelled the protest.
The UHS committee is scheduled to meet on December 24 to make a final decision on organizing the annual MBBS and BDS exams next month.
It must be noted here that the UHS MBBS and BDS annual exams are scheduled to start on January 12, 2021 and January 14, 2021, respectively.
If the UHS Board of Directors accepts the request, MBBS and BDS students who require re-examination can take the January exam.
