Types of Bloggers, Which Are You Included?

This post discusses the types of bloggers . Those of you who already have a blog can identify which type of blogger to enter. For those who are new to blogging, this article can be a source of inspiration for blogging.


BLOGGER is a person who blogs ( blogging ). In Indonesian, bloggers are also called narablogs, which are people who manage a blog. Blogger is a term for people who blog; blogger; blogger (KBBI).

Blogger also refers to Google's blogging platform, namely Blogger with the domain blogspot.com.

Blogging was popular in the early 2000s until it was replaced by the popularity of social media. However, blogging still survives to this day, with all its variations such as microblogging (Twitter), vlogging -- including Youtuber, and now podcasting which is audioblogging.

Blogs were originally a personal website where blog owners wrote or shared experiences and knowledge. Then, the blog developed into an online business medium, and is now one of the internet marketing strategies in the form of business blogging .

Types of Bloggers

When someone decides to start a blog, he or she has a specific reason to do so. 

Some bloggers start blogs after breaking up with their boyfriends. And because of a broken heart, they need a way to channel all their anger or sadness. 

Others are in a bad place in life, and the only way they can talk about it is through writing.

Others blog because they have seen other bloggers make a lot of money from their blogs and they also want to follow in the footsteps of successful bloggers who make their blogs a source of income.

The following are the types of bloggers according to Bake . One of them is a full-time blogger whose entire activity of earning a living is centered on his blog.

1. Part Time  Blogger 

The first type of blogger is a part-time blogger. He makes his blog as a source of side income.

Many people cannot survive on their own salary. They also have to find other sources of income. 

Some people use blogging as their part time job. They take it seriously yes, but it's not their main source of income.

Currently the easiest way to find a side income on the internet is by blogging. If you are not a celebrity who easily gets followers on social media and subscribers on Youtube channels, then blogging is the main choice.

Everyone has something to share. You can share your experiences and knowledge on the blog. When many visitors, then your blog will become a money machine in the form of passive income.

2. Hobbyist

Blogs because they love to write or other people use them as online journals. They create a blog about anything that makes them fascinated and did not try to have a "niche" ( niche ) or topics that clearly. 

They have no intention of monetizing their blog through Adsense or any sponsored posts. 

The fact that they blog as a hobby also means they don't have a regular schedule which means they can post even once in six months. This is usually disappointing because some of them are actually really good.

3. Full-time Blogger

They live and breathe through blogging. Blogging is their bread and butter. They have to share content every day to drive traffic (visitor traffic) to their website. 

They know their niche and they always post strategically with the aim of driving more traffic to their site. 

Full time bloggers network (build a network) with different people with the sole purpose of growing their blog and getting a job. 

They are also the most knowledgeable of the ins and outs of blogging compared to other bloggers. If you need advice on blogging, these are the people to ask. 

4. Corporate Blogger

If you visit most corporate websites today, you will find that they have blogs, which are special categories or pages containing posts on various topics. 

These blogs tell you what the company is doing, what it plans for the future, some even feature their employees. 

Corporate bloggers are those who manage content marketing. Many companies need this type of blogger to manage or populate their sites.

5. Entrepreneur (Entrepreneur)

This type of blogger is an entrepreneur by creating a blog for his business. He uses blogs to promote and sell products online.

You can sell on marketplaces and social media. But marketplace and social media are other people's homes. By creating a blog, you have your own home and transact directly without intermediaries.

Blog as a Startup

You may have often heard the term startup or start-up. Gojek, Bukalapak, Tokopedia, Traveloka, and so on are often cited as examples of successful startups in Indonesia.

Startup is something that refers to a company that has not been in operation for a long time. These companies are mostly newly established companies and are in the development and research phase of finding the right market. (Wikipedia) 

Various references state that the website is the main means for startups. Blogs can be your startup.

Startup companies must have a personal website to carry out all their work, namely to offer and promote the products they sell. The businesses they run include online services whose operations use applications that are always connected to the company's own website.
