Realme provides 5G devices that are accessible to everyone
The era of mobile internet speed has finally begun in world, namely the 5G network that is able to penetrate up to Gigabit per second. Therefore, Indonesia also has the arrival of a smartphone that has an affordable price and already has the ability to connect to the 5G network. The device also comes from the realme number series family, namely realme 8. With realme 8 5G, everyone will be able to enjoy the latest fast internet network.
Carrying the slogan "5G. Fast Speed to Infinity ", this time realme is back in collaboration with chip manufacturer Mediatek. Realme 8 5G is the first 5G smartphone in Indonesia that uses the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset . This is one of the recipes from realme so that its newest 5G device can be reached by everyone.
The Dimensity 700 5G processor also supports 5G Dual SIM Dual Standby, enabling smartphones to support 5G SIM cards online via the 5G network that was just launched in Indonesia. In addition, the processor supports SA / NSA ( Stand Alone / Non Stand Alone ) types and covers the mainstream 5G frequency band . Realme itself is currently working with Smartfren in holding a 5G network trial.

Unboxing
This equipment is in the sales package of realme 8 5G
Design
It seems that realme does not want to use one model in one series of its smartphones . This can be seen from the rear models of the Realme 8, 8 Pro, and 8 5G. On this one device, you won't see the Dare To Leap slogan on the back case made of polycarbonate. The color of the device I got is Supersonic Black
Realme 8 5G also has a light weight, only 185 grams. For resolution, realme 8 Pro uses 2400 × 1080 on an IPS type screen that has a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Of course, this will make the eyes more comfortable because the animation will be smoother . Touch sampling on the realme 8 5G also has a speed of 180 Hz.
Using an IPS screen, realme has to pair a fingerprint scanner along with the power button . The sensor itself is quite responsive when I tested it. In addition, this device also provides NFC, so you don't have to worry when you don't have an electronic money card balance in the middle of the highway. Just open a banking or e-commerce application , electronic money cards can be filled directly via NFC.
On the right side you will find the power button which is combined with the fingerprint scanner. On the left side there are buttons for volume up and down as well as a slot nano-SIM to microSD. For the bottom, found a 3.5 mm audio port , microphone , USB-C slot , and speakers . And on the back will be found three cameras and an LED flash combined in a box at the top left.
Realme 8 5G already uses the realme UI 2.0 interface based on the Android 11 operating system. This interface itself still has an app drawer that contains all installed applications. Realme has also improved the navigation and privacy experience, so I also feel more comfortable when testing this one device.
LTE network and WiFi
By using Mediatek Dimensity, it also means that this device supports 4G LTE network. In realme 8 5G, bands supported are bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41, and 66 of them used by all cellular operators in Indonesia. For 5G networks, this device supports bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, 77, and 78 SA/NSA
One thing that is interesting is that realme 8 5G is able to detect the 5G network that has just been launched by Telkomsel. When using an internet speed counter site, the detected connection turns out to be 5G. However, the speed obtained is not optimal. It could be because the existing BTS has been accessed by many people.
Realme also has Mediatek's built-in technology called Smart 5G Power Saving . This technology will intelligently identify the signal strength in the vicinity and switch between 4G and 5G without any lag time between switching. This will result in 30% lower power consumption compared to smartphones without the Smart 5G feature.
In terms of WiFi, realme 8 5G supports 802.11ac. This technology is now known as WiFi 5. With this standard, it also means that the realme 8 5G can already use WiFi on the faster 5 GHz band ..
